 Event Rates

 

#1 The Evening Event ($3,985 in the house or $4,985 in the tent)

  • Includes Ceremony and Reception from 4 p.m.to 10 p.m., plus two hours set up before and one hour cleanup afterwards.
  • Includes all guest rooms in the Manor House and Lake Cottage for one night (sleeping up to 18 persons) with breakfast for all.  Check in at 2:00 p.m. and check out at 11:00 a.m. the next day
  • If you wish to hold your rehearsal dinner at Winterham the night before, the fee is $500 extra, in the house or the tent.

 #2 The Weekend Celebration ($4,980 in the house and $5,980 in the tent) "THE LUXURY OF TIME" (43 hrs. at Winterham with full use of the house and/or tent and grounds)

  •  Includes Ceremony and Reception held anytime during the day, or all day, ending at10: p.m. 
  • Includes all guest rooms in the Manor House and Lake Cottage for two nights (sleeping up to 18 persons) with breakfast for all. Check in at 4:00 p.m. Fri. and check out at 11:00 a.m. Sun. (43 hrs. total stay).
  • The site and reception fees for your rehearsal dinner held the night before are included with this deluxe package (two party nights for the price of one!).
  • The "Weekend Celebration" resort wedding package is our most popular one and the best value, a great time to relax and visit with friends and family.

 

 Prices Include

 

       A Plantation Site Fee of $1,995

  • Includes use of the grounds, gardens, lawns, wedding arbors, Versailles open air pavilion, gazebo, verandas, outdoor furniture, parking, rest rooms & lake trail.
  • Your choice of ceremony site: lake overview, east or south verandas, manor house façade and porch, gazebo, lovers' tree or anywhere else on the property you may wish..
  • Guided tours for your wedding guests of the antebellum National Register manor house with its period and reproduction furnishings, fine arts gallery and history.

 A Reception Fee of $995 in the Manor House or $1,995 in the Clear Span Tent)

  • Small in house weddings with table seating for up to 30 guests or 75+ standing/seated, buffet style.
  • Tent weddings with table seating for up to 200 guests (5’ table rounds and fan-back chairs).  Two eight foot oblong tables for food service and a six ft. oblong table for the DJ, smaller patio tables for wedding cake and gifts. Other amenities include clear and opaque side curtains that slide open and tie to the poles like drapes, festive lighting, 20 x 40 ft. Brazilian walnut ballroom dance floor and Pennsylvania bluestone periphery, oscillating fans, Chupa and wedding arch and an auxiliary serving/storage tent for the food service.  Please note: This tent, with comparable amenities (side curtains, lighting, dance floor and peripheral pad), would rent for $4,000--$5,000 per night from a vendor!
  • Propane heating for the tent costs $250/night extra, if required.  Tent air conditioning is also available from vendors, if desired. 
  • Vendors fees are extra (caterers, photographers, wedding planners, party rental companies, florists, DJ's, musicians, cake bakers, carriage rental, etc.). 

 An Overnight Accomodations Fee of $995/night (a $200 discount based on our normal rack rate)

  • Includes all guest bedrooms in the Manor House and Lake Cottage, sleeping up to 18 persons, with a full southern country breakfast each morning.
  • We require you to book all of our overnight guest rooms, to preempt our regular B&B guests, and insure that your event remains an altogether private one.
  • The guest rooms will accomodate the dressing and changing needs of your entire bridal party.
  • The manor house becomes your "home away from home" for you and your house guests (except our own private rooms)--a veritable resort evening or weekend for you and your guests to enjoy.
  • Brides and grooms may arrange for their guests to pay for the rooms they will occupy.  This will save on wedding costs, especially if your guests are coming from out of town and would need to book a hotel room anyway. Wedding guests appreciate the convenience of enjoying our luxury rooms during the festivities and the gourmet breakfasts that we lovingly prepare and serve.

For the comparison shopper, please note!!

  • We provide our luxury tent with its numerous amenities, at $2,000 to $3,000 under the typical vendor rental price.
  • We include new 5' round tables and stylish fan back chairs for up to 200 guests at no exta cost, a value worth @ $1000.
  • We provide an extra free event night for the rehearsal dinner, or other gathering, if you book the Weekend Celebration Package (see below).
  • We provide you with a $200/night discount on our bed and breakfast rooms, based on our customry B&B rates.

Independent  Vendors

  • If you book with us, we can recommend several preferred vendors for you who will provide elegant and personalized service for all your wedding needs: caterers, photographers, DJ's and musicians, wedding planners, florists and decorators, party suppliers, beauticians, wedding cake bakers, carriage drivers, etc.  Please note: All vendor costs are extra.
  • Our preferred caterer is Traditions in Powhatan (Suzie Barham), but you may select your own without extra fees if they are properly licensed for food and liquor service, insured for liability, hold a valid health dept. permit and their service will reflect well on Winterham Plantation. 
  • If your chosen caterer needs to use our kitchen, the rental fee is $300, but most use their own warming ovens located in their delivery and serving trucks.
